Palazzo della Ragione: the Palazzo della Ragione (also called Salone) was the ancient seat of the city courts and the covered market of Padua. It was included by UNESCO among the World Heritage Sites in the site of the fresco cycles of the fourteenth century of Padua. To understand how large it actually is, just think that it is formed by a central island, completely green, called Isola Memmia in honor of the podestà who commissioned the work.
The University, the 2nd oldest university in Europe, and the Anatomical Theater: the dissection table is surrounded by six rounds of carved walnut boxes. At the entrance of the anatomical theater you can see the inscription in Latin "Mors ubi gaudet succurrere vitae", or "Where death is happy to help life".
