Villa De' Giacomi, a historic house of 1200 in the heart of cosy village of Teolo (Padova), Euganean Hills.

Villa De' Giacomi dates back to the 13 TH century. During the centuries the building has been enlarged up to became a horseshoe shape around piazza Tito Livio, the historical center of the village. The square is named “Tito Livio” like a famous roman historian that lived here. In the late 1700’s the family De’ Giacomi bought the building and they lived in the villa until the end of the 1900’s. Then after various change of ownership, in 2010 the Quagliato’s, a local family of property developers, bought it. Villa De’ Giacomi has undergone a conservative restauration and the interior design have had a contemporary reinterpretation.

The place name “Teolo” might come from the word “titulus” that in Latin meant “border”. This territory was indeed between the two important cities of Padova and Este. Thanks to its strategical position in the middle of the natural park our guests can easily enter many different footpaths or bike trials.

"My name is Davide and I am a surveyor born and grown up in Teolo. Here I am working passionately for my family business. I have personally overseen all the Villa’s restorations and furniture trying to realize a minimal and cozy environment, taking inspiration from of the northern European interior design. My sister Elena, an expert in the field of hospitality, helps me and in 2019 this project became reality."

Our guests could relax outside on the terrace. On the first floor there is a spacious common living room with the fireplace and comfortable armchairs, the ideal place to read a book. There is also a small terrace that overlooks the beautiful Piazza Tito Livio. On this floor you will find also the kitchen with induction hob, a dining table, a microwave, a refrigerator and a kettle.

At the same time you can discover the gems of Culture and Art such as Arquà Petrarca, the walled cities of Este, Monselice and Montagnana, tour of the Castles and Venetian Villas in the Riviera of Brenta, the Thermal Center of Abano, Montegrotto and Galzignano. Padua, Venice, Verona and Vicenza can be easily reached. Do not miss the Garden of Villa Barbarigo in Valsanzibio, Villa Vescovi in Luvigliano, the Catajo Castle in Battaglia Terme and finally the Abbey of Praglia.

SUITE 523

The 523 is a quad room with two double beds.

The westerly side of the room faces on Piazza Perlasca and the northern side faces on the patio of an historical building.

It’s named 523 because this number refers to the height of Monte della Madonna, where an old monastery is located.

On the bed wall, that’s a bearing wall, you can see two ancient capitals that date back to the1200 A.D. when the first inhabitants started the restoration works.

SUITE 601

The 601 is the biggest room. Its particular triangular shape could be easly indentified looking to the Villa’s perimeter from Tito Livio square.The room overlooks the clock tower of Palazzetto dei Vicari, the ancient seat of the vicars. In the background you can see the Monte Venda. The hill is 601 MT height and the room takes its name from this number.

SUITE 474

The 474 keeps the classic Venetian rustic style, the exposed wooden beams and the decor has followed the same class. The room faces on the patio of an historical building. The name 474 MT refers to the Monte Grande height, the hill that you can see in the background.
